Frequently Asked Questions
Is this similar to a diagnostic ultrasound that I would receive from my doctor?
Definitely not! We are a non-medical, limited diagnostic company which refers to early gender determination, the position of the baby, the position of the placenta (unless low lying) and heart rate. We are happy to offer this service for free in all of our sessions. Please note, this is not meant to replace your complete diagnostic ultrasound with your healthcare provider.
How do I get the best images of my baby?
Although we can’t promise perfect images of your little one, hydration is the key to getting good quality pictures. It is very important to be hydrated for your ultrasound. We recommend drinking atleast a full gallon of water EVERYDAY for 5-7 days prior to your session. Drinking this much water is to ensure we increase and have clear amniotic fluid for the big day!
What if my baby is hiding and we can't see the face?
Just Kickin’ Mobile has a “Must See Baby” Guarantee! Meaning, if baby doesn’t cooperate or we can’t get any good pictures, we will come back to your desired location for the cost of the travel rate only! Unfortunately, we do not provide refunds for services rendered.
Do you accept insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance because this is an elective service.
How good are you at determining the sex of the baby?
We are always 99.9% sure on gender before we reveal it to the parents & their family! If we are even a little unsure, we will come back and try again if baby is a little shy.
Will the location of my placenta impact the quality of my images?
Many clients with an anterior placenta often ask if it will be difficult seeing their baby with a 3D/4D ultrasound. The majority of the time, our clients usually have an anterior placenta, but we are still able to work around the placenta to see the baby. In some cases, the baby will face into the placenta, whether it is anterior or posterior, in which we will work to try to get the baby to move away from the placenta. Some of the images will have parts of the placenta in them; after all, we are imaging the baby inside the womb. We will do our best to get as much of the face as possible, but a full face shot is not always possible.
How do I prepare for an in-home ultrasound?
Make sure you have been drinking at least a gallon of water everyday for a week leading up to your appointment for the clearest images.
Make sure you have a light sweet / cold snack to ensure baby is up and ready for their photoshoot.
To ensure you have the most comfortable experience, make sure you have a comfortable place to lay to perform the ultrasound.
For the best in home theater experience, an HDMI capable TV is recommended but not required.
If I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment, do I get my deposit back?
Once your appointment is booked and confirmed, the $30 deposit is non-refundable. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, your deposit will go toward your new booking.
